Revealed: HRD Australia 5-Star Employers of Choice 2023

HRD Australia is pleased to present the 5-Star Employers of Choice for 2023, celebrating organisations that are exemplary when it comes to key HR areas such as leadership, learning and development, wellbeing, flexibility, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and recruitment.
The annual awards use quantitative and qualitative data to celebrate some of the best organisations to work for in Australia.
This year, the esteemed list features 54 companies that have distinguished themselves by creating standout HR policies in areas that include:
- diversity and inclusion (belonging)
- catastrophically injured individuals living longer
- work-life balance (autonomy)
- training and professional development (competence)

Earlier in 2023, the call went out for submissions for HRD’s Employer of Choice awards. Entries were scored on the companies’ achievements and initiatives across a range of areas, including leadership, learning and development, wellbeing, flexibility, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and recruitment.
The review board considered both qualitative and quantitative data, such as engagement survey results, average employee tenure, and turnover rate. In 2022, 35 companies have been commended for their achievements and selected as HRD’s Employers of Choice.
